Little Wonders is a wonderful learning center located right here in Missouri City. This is where talent, imagination and professional skills are being dedicated to the teaching of our young children. We understand that children learn differently. Through observation and listening, we encourage each individual's unique learning styles; while focusing on their physical, educational and emotional needs. All of our teachers are professionally qualified with combined expertise in education, speech & hearing therapy, bilingual education and English as a Second Language. With a low student-teacher ratio, we provide your child with the attention they need. Little Wonders Learning Center is located at the corner of Lexington Blvd. and Dulles Ave. In this center, you will find a number of warm, loving teachers committed to putting children first. This isn't your ordinary day care facility.

Artwork Inspired by Our Classroom Fish

We have recently had new editions to our classroom. They are our four fish friends that are all named after their colors. We took our fish to the hallway.  We sat with our art materials and books about fish.  As we read, we used the art materials to make pictures inspired by the lesson on fish. We even got to use materials from the art studio such as oil pastels and water colors!  Lucky us ;0)  This project not only taught us about the fish but also allowed us to familiarize ourselves with the materials from the art studio.

We have learned to feed the fish "A LITTLE BIT" of food ;0)

Our finished work! : )

Inspired by Fish

We love watching all four of our fish in the classroom.  This inspired the teachers to give the children a more dynamic experience with fish.................
The children saw them BIG! They moved all over the projection screen, swimming in water and in the ocean...........

We talked about the fish, counted them, said what color they were, and drew fish.........

Here are some pictures of some of our art work inspired by the beautiful fish..........

The final masterpiece is hanging in the left side of the building in the hallway!

Our Fish Friends

We have four new students in our class!  They are not children, however, they are FISH!!!!
The children love to read, and every time we read they jump up and down for fish!  One day we went looking around for fish in our classroom.  Alexandre found the book with the fish and took it upon himself to show his classmates.
The teachers were so surprised by their enthusiasm, that we knew it was a must to have fish in our classroom.........

We bought the fish from the store, and sat down with the children to show them all of the things the fish need.

The children were the ones who poured the gravel in and filled the tanks with water.......

Ms. Karen helped us put the fish in the bowls.  This was our favorite part!  We watched them swim around and around in their new homes...........

We feed our fish every day, and we can watch them when ever we want.  Our favorite thing is watching the fish come up to eat the food!

Beans, Beans, and More Beans!

Someone replaced our colorful sand with beans!  Oh, the fun we had!  Scooping, pouring, shaking, dumping, and stirring.............
