About Me

My photo
Little Wonders is a wonderful learning center located right here in Missouri City. This is where talent, imagination and professional skills are being dedicated to the teaching of our young children. We understand that children learn differently. Through observation and listening, we encourage each individual's unique learning styles; while focusing on their physical, educational and emotional needs. All of our teachers are professionally qualified with combined expertise in education, speech & hearing therapy, bilingual education and English as a Second Language. With a low student-teacher ratio, we provide your child with the attention they need. Little Wonders Learning Center is located at the corner of Lexington Blvd. and Dulles Ave. In this center, you will find a number of warm, loving teachers committed to putting children first. This isn't your ordinary day care facility.

The Cockrell Butterfly Field Trip

We will go to the Cockrell Butterfly Center on Tuesday morning, July 28th. I need for everyone to let me know how many people are attending by Wednesday, so that we can purchase tickets as a group. The cost is $8.00 for adults, and $7.00 for children 3-11. There is a sign up sheet located by the classroom. We would prefer for an adult to attend this trip with your child, since this class is much younger than we usually take on field trips. If you have any questions, Maryam is the one to ask!

We are SUPER excited!

splash day

Hello!
I just wanted to remind you that we will be having another Splash Day next Friday, July 24th. We will have the sign up permission slip located on a clip board by the sign-in computer. Please make sure that you sign your child up on that permission slip or they will not be able to participate on Splash Day.
Also, I want to remind everyone:
* Make sure that you bring your child in their swimsuit, along with water shoes.
* Please apply suncreen, bugspray, etc. BEFORE your child is dropped off.
* Please bring a towel and a change of clothes for your child labeled with their name on them.
If you have any questions please don't hesistate to ask!
Thank you so much!

We did it!

Our class is officially done with our Summer Reading Program with the Houston Public Library!

I spoke with a librarian, and she is setting our prizes aside to bring to us! How Exciting!

The Hungry Caterpillar

Our favorite book right now is the Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. This is a great book that helps the children learn

the days of the week, the stages of a butterfly, counting, and nutrition!

We want Ms. Ramsha to read it over and over and over again! We will begin doing some small projects based on the book to help us learn more about the subjects I listed above!

Butterfly Project

We are moving right along.....................today we all worked as a team to make a BIG butterfly! We are painting the wings!

The caterpillars have been ordered! They should be coming in the next week or so! The kids are going to be SO excited! I ordered them from www.insectlore.com. This is a great website for ordering all kinds of insects, movies, books, etc! This is a great site for anyone interested in buying something for his/her child.
