Little Wonders is a wonderful learning center located right here in Missouri City. This is where talent, imagination and professional skills are being dedicated to the teaching of our young children. We understand that children learn differently. Through observation and listening, we encourage each individual's unique learning styles; while focusing on their physical, educational and emotional needs. All of our teachers are professionally qualified with combined expertise in education, speech & hearing therapy, bilingual education and English as a Second Language. With a low student-teacher ratio, we provide your child with the attention they need. Little Wonders Learning Center is located at the corner of Lexington Blvd. and Dulles Ave. In this center, you will find a number of warm, loving teachers committed to putting children first. This isn't your ordinary day care facility.

"Quack Quacks" and Birds

We love birds and ducks, aka, "quack quacks"! Today, we were looking at more books about birds and we each drew our own special bird!

We are emphasizing colors and counting in everything we do!
While we play with play dough, we talk about what colors each child has, and we encourage the children to ask for the colors they want.

As we do our art projects, we ask the children what colors they want, what colors they have, and how many they used!
Look at what busy little bees we are.............

Not Your Regular Plastic Bottles!

We filled water bottles with different liquids, like soap, oil, and water. We put food coloring in them and set them on a table for the kids to discover when they came in from outside!

First, the kids said "WOW!"
Then, they started counting the bottles, and talking about what colors they were. So, the teachers joined in and helped each child take turns counting and telling the class what color each one was.

Noah taught us how to shake the bottles! Once we started shaking them, we saw that some of the bottles had bubbles in them!

Then, Phoenix tried to stack the bottles. Very Creative ;o) So the rest of us tried!

Michael couldn't stack them, but he put them side by side on the table. He was so proud of himself, he said, "Hey! Look what I did!"

One of them started to roll away, and before you knew it..............all of the kids were rolling them all over the room!

As we gathered the bottles up, Bishop started talking more about the bubbles. "No bubbles in there!" So, we fixed that! We put some soap in the bottles without bubbles, the kids shook them, and then all of the bottles had bubbles!

Who would have thought that so many great things could come from plastic bottles!

Our Birds Need a Bird Nest

We worked so hard cutting and gluing to make the perfect bird's nest for our clay birds.....

We put our birds in the nest, and it seemed like they liked the nest we made for them ;o)
