Teamwork is an integral life skill. Children benefit from these skills by developing self confidence and by improving their communication skills. They also benefit from experiential learning by having a platform in which they can interact positively with one another. Some benefits include learning leadership abilities, practicing decision making processes, improving communication skills, and developing conflict resolution methods. We give our children the opportunity to experience this by giving them the freedom to communicate and problem solve on their own. For example if there is a conflict that arises while they are playing together we encourage them to communicate with eachother to work the situation out.
We are spending a lot of time on our tape project! This has helped us worked together and improve our teamwork as well. Since we have placed the tape and scissors out for the children, we initially had to cut the pieces of tape for them. Now they are capable of stretching the tape out and having a friend cut the piece off for them.
We let eachother know if the road is broken, and one of us quickly helps to fix the problem! ;0)
